Nutritional Laboratories International (NLI) of Missoula, Montana, has
earned a reputation for providing superior quality contract manufacturing
and laboratory services to the dietary supplement and pharmaceutical industries.
NLI has responded to increasing consumer and regulatory demands for quality
finished products by developing proprietary and cost-effective manufacturing
practices based on FDA Drug cGMP protocols. We’ve raised the bar
on industry quality standards by developing our own unique Total Quality
Management (TQM) program, which includes the application of Statistical
Process Controls (SPC) throughout all phases of production and material
handling activities. All aspects of NLI’s sophisticated processes—manufacturing
procedures, equipment performance and materials—are thoroughly documented
by our Quality Assurance team. We provide our clients with all resulting
documentation. This is one of the many ways NLI ensures the consistency
and safety of the products we manufacture. Internal quality controls are
bolstered by the fact that NLI is Registered with the FDA as a Drug manufacturing
establishment and is regularly inspected by state and federal health authorities
and audited by clients.
Comprehensive analyses performed by our in-house microbial and analytical
laboratories ensure batch-to batch consistency, purity, safety and efficacy—vital
elements for products designed for prolonged use. Our in-house laboratory
services include:
- Analytical testing utilizing various methods and equipment including
HPLC, FT-IR, TLC, UV/VIS
- Microbiological testing to ensure safety of materials used
- Physical testing includes disintegration, dissolution, hardness,
and particle sizing for product engineering requirements
- Stability studies for shelf-life determination
- Methodology development and refinement
- Custom research and development projects
At NLI, we stay on the cutting edge of industry science through our investment
and involvement in university-sponsored and privately funded research
studies and for our efforts, have been awarded grants from the National
Science Foundation and the Montana Department of Agriculture
